Carol Foley Receives Medal of Arts for Music
Carol Foley is the Auburn Arts Commission’s 2025 Medal of Arts award for her contributions to music. Presented annually since 1993 to individuals who deeply enrich the region's cultural landscape, this year’s honor celebrates Foley’s decades-long dedication to music. From her early days accompanying local school choirs to her extensive adult career—which includes performing with the DeKalb County Community Orchestra, playing for numerous area churches, mentoring youth in the Hoosier Hill children’s rock band, and supporting Auburn Main Street events—Foley joins an esteemed list of community icons recognized for keeping the local arts scene vibrant.
